[A fun thing about kicking in his door is that it reveals an Immortal inside who was just napping and now throws a barrier over one of the doors to a room behind him. Only then does he bother to look over.
And glare.]
I allowed you to be here before when you had business. Now you attack me directly.
There's always an intention, good or bad, behind every action we take. It's never 'nothing'. As the boy's caregiver, guarantee me you wish him no harm and aren't trying to use him in some way.
Even someone as arrogant and unreasonable as you can understand that much.
Kexing was wandering the grounds (flitting off toward the kitchen most likely) when he noticed something gravely amiss at his friend's quarters: the front door was missing! He was probably out shopping when the commotion happened, hence why he didn't hear any of it going down. But if something bad happened at the Four Seasons Manor... What sort of hosts were he and his husband if they couldn't even let their companions live in peace?
Without thinking of anything but his own worries for Qianxun, Kexing burst through the broken front door to find his friend and ensure he was alright. Not finding him in the main living quarters made Kexing's heart beat fast with concern and he promptly threw open the closed door leading to the private sleeping area.
Rather than laying down in the bed like he should be for a nap, Qianxun was sat at the table by the bed. He had his head supported by one hand and could have been mistaken for being in deep thought. Only that wasn't it at all. Instead he was fast asleep, breathing deep as he rested where he sat.
Behind him, floating against the wall in a nest of energy, was a pipa. If one were paying attention they would find that the energy radiating off of it and surrounding it was the same that Qianxun gave off naturally.
The Immortal though, kept sleeping for the time being.
He'd been about to call out for his friend when he saw him at the table. It took a moment for Kexing to realize he was asleep, not lost in deep thought. He moved closer with the intent of waking his friend up -- sleeping on his hand like that will definitely hurt his wrist -- when he sense the energy from the pipa.
Another musician.
KExing smiled to himself as he peered up at the instrument. Maybe he could grow to like it after all.
Sensing someone was close to him, he stirred. At first he didn't move, his eyes just fluttering open to see that he wasn't alone anymore. And that the one in his room was Kexing. Who happened to be looking at his pipa.
Sensing no intent to touch the instrument or bring it harm, he didn't comment for the time being and just quietly watched him instead. Just to observe him and see what he would do next.
No, he had too much respect for his friend to touch his belongings haphazardly. It was a lovely instrument and obviously precious to Qianxun if its place of honor indicated anything.
He felt Qianxun's gaze and put his hands on his hips to feign disapproval. "What happened to the door?"
"Ye Baiyi paid a visit and decided to kick it in."
Getting up finally, he rolled his neck and shoulders. He was a little stiff after napping like that but at least it meant that he'd be able to get right back up faster if he needed to. It had certainly paid off for said visit earlier.
"He is a fool," Kexing snapped. Then he checked his temper. There was no point in venting his dismay. Qianxun was the wronged party, after all.
He huffed and then plopped in the chair across from Qianxun. Instead of ranting about the old monster, he instead turned his attention back to the pipa. "We have so many musicians here at the Manor. I did not know you were among them."
His gaze trailed behind him to look at the instrument. He observed it for a time before looking back to Kexing. "I do not play often. But I keep it safe since it was created from a piece of my own body."
So in comparison to himself? It was the easiest way to bring him harm.
"At the time it would have been. Now there is only pain if someone tries to harm it. Even something as simple as pulling removing a string can wound me badly."
Turning to the pipa, he reached out to guide it to his hands. Holding it close, his fingers touched the strings lightly. There was no sound just yet since he hadn't played but it was clear he knew how.

Nothing.

I do not know your connection to him but I would not be so crass as to use a man injured of heart and body to get to you.

[He rises to his feet finally.]
Leave. I have answered you already.

[His eyes narrow.]
No! You haven't explained your intentions here. I know this to be untrue.

I have answered you. Leave.

[He draws his blade.]
The boy has been used enough. I'm not leaving until you tell me what was your motivation to help him.

I will not repeat myself again. Leave.
